I dunno how I feel about this. Luis is definitely the guy I feel that can vouch someone's claims, but there's been so many people call him out as a fraud, including Ed Calderon. Shadow was accusing Ed of being fake / courrupt as well. So truthfully I don't give a fuck about OG Shadow. However it would be nice to see if Luis can get to the bottom of this guys story and "validate" it. He's been known to steal news from Borderland Beat / Blog Del Narco, just to repost for us gringos, and now just reposts videos of Narcos being interrogated that were up years before from Truth Witness.
I haven't read this article yet. I support Luis 100% but I hope we can get a valid answer about this guy.
Sadly, I mentioned this interview to somebody who follows 'this thing's very, very closely and they cringed at the mere name Shadow and anyone who would interview him. I was not familiar with him but apparently his poor reputation precedes him.
What did you think of the interview. Luis was doing a great job. Shadow was lying about his old channel having 160k followers though it was closer to 120. I call BS on a lot of stuff he said. I dunno. Be interesting to hear what others say. r/narcofootage people should really be getting subscribed to this. And they hate Shadow too. I'll have to post the interview there.
As a occasional recent Borderland Beat contributer, BB takes the majority of articles from Spanish media and translates to English. In the distant past, sadly contributers failed to mention this integral fact, and sadly took credit.
Now there are some individual writers who will literally chew up any free time (no free weekends) in their lives to write an article with footnotes but others clearly state the the lifted source at the bottom. Plagiarism is no longer allowed. So, in actuality (extremely HIGH probability) it may have been BB who was lifting Chaparros articles.
I read one where it was noted, but reader may have overlooked that. Contributers now clearly state the source. Hopefully this continues.
It's a breath of fresh air to us gringo's state side that failed high school spanish, as I will spend hours trying to Google translate Infobae, Processo etc articles that come out as gibberish. Yet, I sadly continue to do so. 😊

Apologies, I initially misread your comment. Yes, Shadow does have this reputation. I was not especially impressed with this.
