WTF Is Happening In Sinaloa?!
It was reported that a man nicknamed 'El Comanche,' who is said to be the head of security for 'El Mayito Flaco,' gave the order to take Culiacán and “wipe out 'Los Chapos.’”
CULIACÁN, Sinaloa.— A month and a half after the capture of Ismael 'El Mayo' Zambada, an internal battle within the Sinaloa Cartel erupted this Monday in Culiacán, the capital of Sinaloa and stronghold of the faction led by 'Los Chapitos,' the sons of Joaquín 'El Chapo' Guzmán. Sources consulted by Saga claim that the clashes, which left at least two people dead (a civilian and a soldier), broke out due to the incursion of people loyal to Ismael Zambada Sicairos, known as El Mayito Flaco, who is said to be leading the faction opposing Los Chapitos.
It was detailed that a man nicknamed El Comanche, who is the head of security for El Mayito Flaco, gave the order to take control of Culiacán and "eliminate Los Chapos." “We were told not to fight against the government, but to kill anything that smelled of Chapo,” a source said. According to security sources, the confrontation between the two factions began around 3:30 AM. Reports indicate that both factions had an argument over radio communication, where they threatened each other and ultimately declared war.
State and federal forces deployed operations to prevent the clashes from escalating further.
According to reports, El Mayito Flaco has joined forces with other cartel leaders, such as Isidro Meza Flores, who has a presence in the municipalities of Sinaloa, Guasave, and the city of Los Mochis, in Ahome. In the south, "Los Rusos," a criminal cell loyal to Zambada and led by Juan José Ponce Félix, alias El Ruso, is closing in to trap Los Chapitos in the Sinaloan capital.
Although no authority publicly confirmed that the clashes were between cartel factions, multiple videos shared on social media since early Monday documented the violent confrontations in the names of "La Chapiza" and "Los Mayos."
