Sinaloa Governor Took Millions From 'Los Chapitos'; Had Dozens Kidnapped During Elections

MEXICO CITY.— The current governor of Sinaloa, Rubén Rocha Moya, is part of the Sinaloa Cartel, under the orders of ‘Los Chapitos’, according to a strong set of accusations made by popular YouTuber ‘Ocran Leaks’.
On its most recent video, ‘Ocran Leaks’, who many have pointed out to be Dámaso López Serrano, known as ‘El Mini-Lic’, a former Sinaloa Cartel leadership member, accused Rocha Moya of having met several times with ‘Los Chapitos’ and using his political power in favor of the sons of Joaquín ‘El Chapo’ Guzmán.
The video comes out a few days over a month from when mythical drug boss Ismael ‘El Mayo’ Zambada was allegedly kidnapped in Sinaloa by Joaquín Guzmán López after being tricked into a meeting where, according to his own recount of things, Rocha Moya was present, along with Héctor Melesio Cuén, a local politician who was killed in the same incident.

“The Sinaloa organization handed over several million dollars for his (Rocha Moya) campaign in 2021,” Ocran Leaks said during the first few minutes.
Rocha Moya met with the leadership of the Sinaloa Cartel in Culiacán, El Salado, La Tuna and Guasave, accordant to the YouTuber’s allegations, quoting sources in Sinaloa.
The accusations against Rocha Moya are not new. In April Jocelyn Hernández, Rocha Moya’s own campaign manager in Sinaloa, said the current state governor not only received millions of pesos by the Sinaloa Cartel, but kidnapped dozens of people during elections day to make sure he would win.
“Territorial operators of the PRI were deprived of their freedom, presumably by members of the Sinaloa Cartel, on election day, June 2, 2021. In addition, Rocha's campaign is alleged to have received money from illegal financing structures”, Hernández said after U.S. investigators in Houston.
