A secret meeting last Sunday could change everything for Mexican crime scene

Somewhere in Michoacán.- There has been historical meetings between cartel bosses that have changed the history of Mexico. Let’s remember that meeting between the capos of the Guadalajara Cartel where they distributed the whole country: Juarez for Pablo Acosta, Sinaloa for Ismael ‘El Mayo’ Zambada, Tijuana for Jesús Labra Avilés (later for the Arellano Felix), etc.

This last meeting I just found out happened last Sunday in a much simple ranch in Michoacan (*Exact location satellite photo in the paid subscription).

The location was strategic, in a rural highway, so the guests could escape with at least 10 minutes in advance in case of an ambush.

The meeting was set up on a private WhatsApp group a few months ago, just after the Cartel Jalisco Nueva Generacion (CJNG) burst into Aguililla, the hometown of ‘El Mencho’, the CJNG boss.

The organizers set up a specific place, a date, a time and a guests list. The main goal was to unify efforts to go all in against CJNG.
